FYI: Out of the Country

Cancun, Mexico

With communication taking shape in so many forms in this day and age, I usually don't need to mention that I am out of the studio since most civilized destinations have some sort of WiFi available (and let's face it, the iPhone is the one-all-be-all communication device); however, I am in Cancun right now until September 2nd and don't have my iPhone turned on. Why? Oh, I have service but I don't want a $953.58 AT&T bill at the end of the month ;) There aren't many phone calls worth that much cash so I have WiFi at the resort-email me at 411@fredegan.com!

Hope you're having a great time... just wanted to say, your work keeps going from strength to strength and the last few weddings/engagements you've posted are totally off the hook!

Fred, Awesome blog and killer work. Your personality and talent come out on your blog. Give me a shout out when you get back in town.

Question for you....is the iPhone seriously worth the money?

Also, what are you usning to sharpen your images if anything?

Sofie - I'm having a great time and i'll be visiting some Mayan ruins tomorrow morning!

Marc - Thanks for stopping by! As for your question, did you REALLY just ask if the iPhone was worth the money??? Apple's iPhone makes smart phones look like a device Cro-Magnum man would use. In all seriousness, if you are trying to run a business, this phone is a must IF you use the Mac OSX. The more Apple products you use the more it makes sense to use the iPhone as your cell device. If you don't have a business to run, I mean really, how often do you really need to check your email??? I never considered getting a smart phone until I was running a business. If you are not running a business then it's just a toy. If you ARE running a business then it's your most valuable productivity tool since you can keep up with your email, surf the web, Google map directions if you get lost, text, keep a detailed address book, watch YouTbe videos when you get bored and finally, keep your photography portfolio on your iPhone to show anyone at anytime.
